Takumi NYC started as a pop up stand called Takumi Taco at Smorgasburg and Brooklyn flea. Since then, Takumi expanded to various pop up locations around manhattan and broadened the menu. Takumi is excited to have found a permanent home at the iconic Chelsea Market.
Takumi was Born from the love of two amazing cuisines; Japanese and Mexican. Takumi was conceived by Marc Spitzer and Derek Kaye as an extension of their comestible creativity. It is important for Spitzer and Kaye to retain the authenticity and epicurean foundation of their menu for a memorable experience.
Take it easy and sit at the bar while enjoying Spicy Tuna in a crispy gyoza shell with a Takumi infused tea. For those on-the-go, create a burrito/burrito bowl and head back to the office or home. At Takumi you are welcome to try one of our known specialties, or create your own meal.
