A Happy Hallowgiving

WHAT: Chelsea Market?s 10th annual Halloween community event, A Happy Hallowgiving, will be a combined Halloween/Thanksgiving event and fundraiser which will benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy. Locals and visitors are invited to celebrate Halloween and the spirit of Thanksgiving by taking a treat and leaving a gift for those in New York whose lives were impacted so deeply by the storm. All donations will go to the Mayor?s Fund to Advance New York City.
Donation areas will be available, where participants will be able to donate cash for Sandy relief efforts. Jamestown is working with Square in hopes to accept credit and debit donations as well.
WHEN: Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
WHERE: Chelsea Market?s Main Corridor 75 Ninth Avenue (between West 15th and West 16th streets) Events will take place towards the middle of the concourse.
WHO: Local families, visitors and Chelsea Market tenants enjoying the festivities.
DJ Salinger will provide music for the event.
Renowned pumpkin carver Hugh McMahon has designed a special pumpkin for the event.
Bindlestiff Family Cirkus stilt walkers and jugglers. Founded in 1995 by Stephanie Monseu and Keith Nelson, Bindlestiff has traveled the world, bringing its unique hybrid of Vaudeville, Circus, Wild West Shows, Burlesque and Sideshow to theaters, clubs, colleges and festivals. The company has produced innumerable cabaret shows, custom performances for special audiences, all-ages and family productions, and sophisticated adult shows.
