It?s the best of the eight flavored popcorns made in small batches in San Francisco by 479 Degrees, a company that takes its name from the temperature at which popcorn pops.

Piment?n de la Vera, dusted with smoked paprika, is another winner, as is Madras curry coconut with cashews. The popcorn is $7.50 for a 2- to 4-ounce box at Chelsea Market Baskets in the Chelsea Market. It is also sold at many specialty stores in the San Francisco Bay area.
